On 8 November 2023, English department heads and coordinators from SRL had an opportunity to take part in the School of the Nation’s (SON) first Literary Conference during Book Week. SRL teachers were greeted with a warm welcome and enjoyed a delightful meal with SON's team. Then SRL teachers were given a quick orientation on the literacy activities that were designed by Form 5 and 6 IB students. The main participants were their Primary 6 to Form 4 students, who were presented with engaging tasks aimed at fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful discussions.

After the conference, SRL teachers participated in an engaging sharing session with the host school’s team, including their Principal, Mr. Vivek Nair. This session served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and teaching practices. Part of the discussion included the prospect of future collaborations with SON, where SRL students will play an active role alongside SON students.
