On the 3rd of October, 2005, we had a meaningful activity – the FUN FUND WALK. This activity involved a voluntary walk which was sponsored by our relatives and friends. All the funds raised from the sponsorship were donated to charity.
We were blessed with fine weather that day and all students arrived at school at 9:45 a.m. We headed out class by class towards our destination quite excitedly. We went back to school, took a break for lunch and came back at 2:00 p.m. for the activities which had been scheduled for the afternoon.
That afternoon, we had a CHARITY FASHION SHOW and a MINI CONCERT. The primary classes had to show outfits depicting "OCCUPATIONS" while the secondary classes had to design outfits that reflected "A BRIGHTER FUTURE." One outfit was made of scraps of cloth which had been donated by the students of the class. Another outfit, looked like an elegant, white, evening gown, which, upon closer inspection, was actually made from clean rubbish bags that had been stitched together in an ingenious way. The show gave the "designers" in the group a chance to exhibit their talents.
Then the band, ONCE TEEN ONES, performed a harmonious rendition of "Let Love Lead the Way," much to the delight of the audience. The most surprising number of all followed soon after as two of our teachers, Ms. Venus and Mr. Alvin, sang a song together with the Students' Association president, Queenie Mok. Their performance pushed the show to its climax as some students in the audience sang along. That day was truly an incredible day.
