Joint School Catholic Exchange

On 10 May 2025, our Primary 5 and 6 Catechism students participated in a meaningful exchange visit to St Joseph Seminary Church, one of the Jubilee pilgrimage sites in Macau, with other senior Primary Catholic students from Instituto Salesiano and Escola de Santa Teresa Macau.

The day began with a creative ice breaker requiring students to build a Lego ship which served as a reminder of being ‘pilgrims of hope'. A guided tour of St Joseph Seminary Church was then prepared by students from Instituto Salesiano who led their peers to explore the religious heritage and explained St. Francis Xavier and Matteo Ricci’s influences on Catholicism in Macau. Having learnt from St Francis’ patience and determination, students discussed how these virtues might inspire them in their lives. All students interacted actively and they also visited the new campus of Instituto Salesiano before the end of the event.

We are grateful that Fr Rafael and the Catholic teachers from various schools accompanied the students and provided them with spiritual guidance in this journey. Throughout the event, we saw students deepen their faith and understanding of Catholic history. We look forward to more inspiring exchanges in the future.
