The simple ceremony honoured their efforts and gave them the encouragement to pursue even higher goals. Sister Judith, our principal, also took the opportunity to encourage everyone to continue to work hard during the second half of the year.
Talented Rosians Receive Awards
Rosians are known, not only for their academic dedication and perseverance, but for their multi-faceted talents and skills as well. Students from various levels have received awards in Singing, Sports and the Arts from external organizations as well as from internal competitions. The recently concluded Individual Recitation Competitions in English, Chinese and Mandarin have revealed new talents who will represent the school at the Annual Inter-school Recitation Competitions in May. Those that have won have brought honour, not only to themselves, but to their schoolmates and alma mater as well. Those that are still to compete hope to do the same. They are a source of inspiration for other students who may desire to follow in their footsteps, but who may not yet have developed the self-confidence to do so. These awardees hope that other students will value the opportunity to compete because it enhances self-esteem, brings opportunities to make new friends, and hones the individual’s innate desire for perfection. Congratulations to all the awardees and all the best to those competing in future events.
