Since its establishment in 2002, the Macao-wide English Speech Contest has aimed to promote English language learning and teaching in Macau. This year, the theme of the contest is “Health”. The lower primary contestants gave speeches on their favourite ways to stay fit and healthy, while those in the upper primary category emphasized the importance of health for everyone. Furthermore, junior high school contestants eloquently spoke on the topic ‘Making Macao a Healthy Place’, and those in the senior high school category delivered exceptional speeches on ‘The Future of Health’.

The much-awaited awarding ceremony, which brought together all the finalists and winners from all categories, took place on 5th December 2023 at the Macao Polytechnic University Auditorium.

Lower Primary School Category:

Finalist: Chim Si Weng (P2C)

Finalist: Vong I Kei (P3P)

Junior High School Category:

2nd Runner-up: Xu Ka Kei (F3F)

Senior High School Category:

2nd Runner-up: Leong Sin Ian (F6S)
