To mark the end of May, the month of Mary, a special ceremony was held in the school hall on the 29th of May, 2006, for the purpose of crowning the Blessed Virgin Mary. Secondary students were selected to represent their classes at the ceremony in the hall while the rest of the student body took part by watching the ceremony through closed circuit television.
The solemn affair began with an introduction by the emcees, followed by the singing of the song dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima. While the congregation recited two of the Luminous Mysteries led by the emcees, ten primary students dressed in white robes, offered roses to the Blessed Virgin. Two teachers were also asked to share their experiences of how Mother Mary had influenced their lives.
