The Macao Healthy Life Education programme is an internationally recognized health awareness and drug prevention programme for students from 5 to 12 years old.  It aims to promote "healthy living" beyond the classroom.  The Healthy Life Education Course encourages the youth to be more aware of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, the dangers of drug abuse, and ways to avoid addiction to drugs. The programme is implemented by the Healthy Life Education Center under the Department for Prevention and Treatment of Drug Dependence of the Social Welfare Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.

        Students from Primary 1 to Primary 6 are sent to participate in the programme every year.  This year, parents were also welcome to join the activity with their children.  After having joined the activity, the parents had a clearer understanding of their children, their reactions with classmate and their performance in the class.  Of course, the children also got to know themselves better than before.
