The International Youth Dance Festival 2026, organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, was held from 18 to 23 July under the theme “Dancing Youth, Rising Future.” Approximately 800 young dancers from local and international troupes participated in street parades, outdoor and indoor performances, and interactive workshops. The event fostered friendship among young people through dance while reinforcing Macao’s role as a city of performing arts and a platform for cultural exchange between China and the world. 

Approximately 20 student volunteers from our school served on the volunteer team for this festival. Prior to the event, these students attended specialised training sessions that equipped them with practical skills in event coordination, guest assistance and cross-cultural communication. 

Assigning student volunteers to this event presented an excellent opportunity for personal development beyond the classroom, enabling our students to serve the community and engage in a significant international cultural event.
