On March 21st 2014, the annual SRL Earth Day was celebrated. In the morning, all teachers and students came to school at the usual time and the day began with an introduction about Earth Day given by the Form 6 Geography students.
After the introduction, the F1 to F6 students were called down to set up game booths at the playground. A little later on, the P1 to P6 students were called down to the playground to enjoy the games. Meanwhile, the Commercial and Science students were participating in the Comic Creation Competition of organized by the Ecology Club.
The last activity was held by the Economics Club. The club members collected some plastic water bottles and put them together to create a large “Wishing Bottle” which was about 1.7meters in height. Primary students were asked to write their promises on folded paper stars. The stars were then poured into the bottle, following the colours of the rainbow, during a special ceremony held at the end of the Earth Day Celebration. At the moment, the bottle is only half full, and we are all eagerly awaiting the stars from the Secondary Students to complete our Rainbow Wishing Bottle of Promises! The day ended on a high note, with everyone having fun and enjoying it!
