SPORTS DAY 2009
Sports Day 2009 was held at the Sports Stadium next to the Macau Polytechnic Institute on Friday, the 20th of February, 2009.Since the Primary 1 to Primary 4 students had had their sports day on the 19th, the students of Primary 5 and 6 were given the opportunity this year to witness the Secondary sports day.
MUSICALE SPIKES CHRISTMAS CHEER
The annual Christmas celebrations at school were held on Friday, the 19th of December, 2008.This year, students were treated to something different.Everyone gathered in the playground.
GRAND PRIX WEEKEND SIGNALS ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC
It was Grand Prix weekend once more in Macau, on the 15th and 16th of November, 2008, and of course, the students were taken on their annual picnics. The primary students went to the Seak Pai Van Park in Taipa while the secondary students went to the Punyu Zoo. Students enjoyed seeing the animals at the zoo.
FUND-RAISING WALKATHON
On Monday, the 6th of October, 2008, the spirit of generosity and enthusiasm continued with the Fund-raising Walk. All students and teachers participated in the hour-and-a-half walk.
MORE FUNDS RAISED AT FUN-A-FAIR
This year's fund-raising fun fair, held on Saturday, the 4th of October, 2008, was a FUN A-FAIR to remember!Parents eagerly showed up at school with their children and took part in the various games and activities which had been previously prepared by the secondary students and the Students' Association.A more varied selection of home-made dishes was offered to sate voracious appetites that were whetted by the eager excitement of the day.
SCHOOL FEAST DAY 2008
On Friday, October 3rd, 2008, students gathered to celebrate the annual school feast day.The theme for the day was Let¡¦s Continue Our Mission and students were encouraged to live lives guided by the ideals of both Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Rose of Lima.The day began with the Eucharistic celebration for all Catholics and class representatives.

Teachers Go on Enlightening 3-Church Pilgrimage
Living in a small enclave like Macau in no way guarantees an in-depth knowledge of its history and culture so, on the afternoon of Tuesday, the 3rd of June, 2008, teachers were taken on a meaningful pilgrimage to three historic churches:The Saint Augustine Church, The San Jose Seminary and Church, and the Saint Lorenzo Church.
ROSETTES GLEE CLUB Members Sing for Sichuan
On Saturday, the 24th of May, 2008, upon invitation from the OnceTeenOnes Band, fourteen selected members of the Rosettes Glee Club, which is the SRL Secondary Choir, performed at a fund-raising concert for the earthquake victims of Sichuan, China.
Children's Day in May
The International Children's Day is annually celebrated on the 1st of June. Since this year, the day itself fell on a Sunday, the SRL Primary students celebrated it on the last two periods of Friday, the 30th of May, 2008.

SRL Ends Month of Mary with Coronation Ceremony
A fitting conclusion to May, the Month of Mary, came with the annual Coronation Ceremony held at the school hall. The solemn service was organized and conducted by the Religious Affairs Committee of the Students' Association, under the guidance of its moderators.

P5 & P6 Students Get Drama Treat
On the 2nd of May, 2008, the students of Primary 5 and 6 were treated to an interactive drama performance entitled Mufaro's Daughters. The students were enthralled by the innovative play which utilized masks, sound effects, minimal crops and simple costumes.

April Talent Cultural Day ~ A Huge Success
For the first time in the history of SRL English Secondary, parents and relatives were invited to participate in a fund-raising cultural event held on the 19th of April, 2008, in the School Hall, not just as part of an audience, but as performers. Auditions were held in March for prospective performers, from which the best were selected. All proceeds from the event were donated to charity through Macau Caritas.

An Afternoon of Memories for Teachers, Youth and Graduates
On the afternoon of Friday, April 11th, 2008, a series of special assemblies was held in the school hall. The afternoon began with the Teachers' Day Celebration. All teachers were invited to the hall. Words of gratitude and appreciation were expressed by the Students' Association President and Vice President, on behalf of the entire student body.

Once again, the students of SRL English Secondary renewed their commitment to environmental protection with the annual celebration of Earth Day, held on the 17th of March, 2008. This year, Geography students from Forms 3 to 6 were organized into groups.

Rosians Gather at 75th Anniversary Dinner
Rosians of all ages, past and present, gathered for a special sit-down dinner at the Restaurante Federal, organized by the SRL Alumnae Association, to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Santa Rosa de Lima, English Secondary. Attendees included Bishop Jose Lai, Bishop of Macau, Mr Sou Chio Fai, Director of the Education Department of Macau, the FMM sisters and a gathering of friends from all walks of life.

Santa Rosa de Lima, English Secondary, founded in 1932, kicked off its 75th year with a series of commemorative events, the first of which was the annual School Feast Day Celebration, held on the 4th of October, 2007.
