SRL STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION

The Santa Rosa de Lima Students' Association functions as a representative body composed of chosen student leaders. These leaders are outstanding students chosen from Form 5 to Form 2. They serve as vehicles for mutual cooperation and understanding among the various entities within the school system.


The association also aims to prepare students for integration into the global community by enhancing a spirit of loyalty, cooperation, generosity and dedication. Seven committees, each with its own area of expertise, comprise the Association. Apart from the executives, membership also includes the class representatives as well as the members of the committees. Each committee is guided by its own group of moderators, chosen from the teaching staff.


The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is the main administrative group of the Association. It oversees the activities of the association as a whole. It includes the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer, the Assistant Treasurer, the Relations Officer and the Assistant Relations Officer.


The Art & Advertising Committee

The Art & Advertising Committee is the design and decoration group of the Association. The Committee is largely responsible for decorating the school for special functions and events. Its Executives include the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer and the Assistant Treasurer.


The Co-Curricular Activities Committee

The Co-Curricular Activities Committee is mainly in-charge of activities and competitions within the school. The activities organized are usually related to the various subjects being offered within the school. Its executives include the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Assistant Vice-Chairman, Secretary/Treasurer, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, the Liaison Officer, the Assistant Liaison Officer, and a Team of Coordinators.


The Extra-Curricular Activities Committee

The Extra-curricular Activities Committee is in charge of the activities offered to the students on Saturdays. These activities are often non-academic in nature and are designed to explore the students' various talents. Its executives include the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary and the Relations Officer.


The Literary & Photography Committee

The Literary & Photography Committee is responsible for reporting and recording school events. The committee works to make students more aware of the goings-on within the school, as well as within the society and the world. It also encourages students to develop their reading, writing and comprehension skills, as well as their ability to think critically. Its executives include the Editor-in Chief, her Assistant, the Editors for News and Articles, Photography and Layout, their Assistants, the Treasurer/Relations Officer and her assistant.


The Order & Discipline Committee

The Order & Discipline Committee is responsible for the order and discipline within the school. It constructs and implements the school rules, and revises them when necessary. The committee aims to teach students the importance of rules to facilitate their integration into the society. Its Executives include the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, and a team of Patrol Leaders.


The Religious Affairs Committee

The Religious Affairs Committee is responsible for the spiritual well-being of the students. It organizes religious activities and functions and helps to foster camaraderie and unity among students, between students and staff, and between students, family and society at large. Its executives include the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary/ Treasurer, and the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.


The Social Work Committee

The Social Work Committee broadens the students' perspective on the world by organizing visits to old age homes, orphanages and other social institutions. It encourages students' awareness about the less fortunate and inculcates in them a spirit of whole-hearted generosity. Its executives include the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer and the Assistant Treasurer.
